  • The movie that sparked a new generation of "dark" superhero movies. Tim Burton should always be praised for the trend of films that he started with this Film.
  • Jack Nicholson as the Joker was truly immense. At the time, it was the single biggest fee ever paid to any actor for a role in a film ($6 million), plus he also recieved a huge share of the box office gross. It was worth every single penny.
  • Great soundtrack by the legend that is Prince, and also the score by Danny Elfman.
  • This is just a super-cool movie. A timeless classic. Awesome, Amazing, Brilliant ... and then some!
After a young boy witnesses his parents' murder on the streets of Gotham City, he grows up to become Batman, a mysterious figure in the eyes of Gotham's citizens, who takes crime-fighting into his own hands. He first emerges out of the shadows when the Joker appears - a horribly disfigured individual who is out for revenge on his former employer and generally likes to have a good time, but the identity of the "bat" is unknown. Perhaps millionaire Bruce Wayne and photographer Vicki Vale have a good chance of finding out?
